Electronic crafts is an informal, interdisciplinary club, that will soon be run fortnightly on Wednesday afternoons. It focuses upon learning programming and electronics as a craft-oriented, material practice.

A series of hands on workshops introduce Processing (http://www.processing.org) and Arduino (http://www.arduino.cc) with a view to integrating sensors, motors, lights and displays to form expanded and augmented objects. It is expected that students working across disciplines will be able to apply these skills a variety of ways – e.g. installation art, animatronics, novel forms of graphical display and fabric augmentation. The club will also facilitate hybrid forms of collaboration.

Spencer Roberts will be giving an introductory talk about plans for the club at the next CollabHub meeting on Dec 8th. This will be at Coffee Kabin from 3.45 .
